Responsibilities
As a Qualified Accountant, you will lead a team and deliver high-quality financial services across a diverse client portfolio. Your core duties will include:
- Managing and mentoring a team to uphold Swiftacc’s service excellence
- Reviewing accounts, tax returns, and VAT submissions, providing feedback to junior staff
- Training junior team members to maintain our unique client service standards
- Delivering bespoke business and tax advisory services tailored to client needs
- Ensuring all HMRC and Companies House deadlines are met for client filings
- Building and nurturing strong client relationships through proactive communication
- Monitoring clients’ accounting/bookkeeping systems and advising on improvements
- Advising senior stakeholders and directors on financial implications of strategic decisions
- Developing and implementing accounting policies and systems to enhance efficiency
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
- Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in practice or industry
- Strong technical knowledge of UK tax, accounting standards, and statutory compliance
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Ability to deliver advisory services with commercial insight
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Desirable Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in training and mentoring junior staff
- Familiarity with HMRC systems and Companies House processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
