This month, Swiftacc is proud to name Eco Horizon, a London based supplier of eco-friendly packaging, as our Client of the Month. In this post, we explain how we support Eco Horizon with its accounting and how we help other UK businesses stay compliant, organised, and in control of their finances at an affordable price.
- Eco Horizon is our client of the month for October, a London supplier of food-safe, eco-friendly packaging for restaurants, cafés and takeaways across the UK.
- Its range of kraft containers, paper bowls, thermal delivery bags and woven bags is chosen for strength and reliability, and custom branding lets businesses make the greener choice look good too.
- Swiftacc keeps Eco Horizon’s accounts organised, so its team can focus on customers and on making sustainable packaging accessible to every food business.
Think about the last takeaway you ordered. Before you ate a single bite, it had already travelled in a container, a bag and probably a few other bits of packaging. Multiply that by every café, restaurant and takeaway in the UK, and you can see why packaging matters.
This month we caught up with Elizabeth, Marketing Manager at Eco Horizon, the eco-friendly supplier helping food businesses make that packaging a lot greener.
Elizabeth, give us the quick pitch. What is Eco Horizon?
We’re a London-based supplier of eco-friendly packaging for restaurants, cafés and takeaways. Think kraft food containers, paper bowls, thermal delivery bags and sturdy reusable woven bags. Everything is food-safe and built to survive a busy kitchen and a bumpy delivery ride.
What do people get wrong about eco-friendly packaging?
The big one is the word “biodegradable”. It sounds wonderful, but it doesn’t tell you how long something takes to break down or what conditions it needs. Then there’s the regulation side, with UK rules like Extended Producer Responsibility leaving plenty of owners unsure where they stand. We write plain-English guides so people can cut through the jargon and make confident decisions.
What’s the hardest part of getting the product right?
Packaging has a tough job. It has to keep food hot, stay leak-free, survive the journey, and be kinder to the environment. If a product fails at any of those, nobody will keep using it. That’s why we pick products for strength and reliability first. It’s also why customers can request free samples and test them in their own kitchen before they commit.
Your logo on a takeaway bag, does that really matter?
More than people expect. Packaging is often the last thing a customer sees before they eat, so it’s a chance to leave an impression. Our custom packaging lets businesses add their name and logo to sustainable products, so the greener option also looks good.
How does it feel to be our client of the month?
It’s a lovely surprise, and a nice moment to look back at how far we’ve come. Running a product business means lots of moving parts: stock, suppliers, orders. Swiftacc keeps our accounts organised so we can focus on the customers and products. It’s one less thing to worry about.
What’s next for Eco Horizon?
We want to reach more businesses across the UK and keep growing our custom packaging service. The long-term goal is simple: a hospitality industry where sustainable packaging is available to everyone, whatever their size or budget.
Congratulations to the Eco Horizon team on being our client of the month for October.
